The Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Promotion Board is offering $1,000 scholarships to individuals that will be third or fourth-year college students or second-year short course/technical college students during the 2026-27 academic year. Any Wisconsin resident who is currently enrolled as a full-time student at a four-year Wisconsin school or short course/technical college in Wisconsin and is pursuing a dairy-related or food science degree is eligible to apply for scholarship consideration.
PREVIOUS RECIPIENTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY.
All applicants are required to submit an application electronically as a PDF no later than JANUARY 15, 2026. Save application as LAST NAME, FIRST NAME and e-mail to Stephanie Hammerly at programassistant@wsfdairypromo.org using the subject – Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Promotion Board Scholarship Application. Attach your transcript as a separate document.
HAND-WRITTEN APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. MAILED APPLICATIONS/TRANSCRIPTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Applicants will be evaluated on involvement and leadership in dairy-related activities, scholastic achievement and career objectives. The scholarship committee will select finalists from the eligible applications received. Finalists will be interviewed, with the recipients to be recognized at the 2026 Wisconsin State Fair. Please note that in order for continued consideration applicants selected for an interview must be available during normal business hours on the interview date.
Scholarship recipients must continue enrollment in the suggested curriculum and maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher or forfeit scholarship monies. Scholarships will be awarded at the completion of the first semester and at the time the Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Promotion Board has received a copy of registration for the second semester and a current transcript. Scholarship recipients (or a representative for them) are required to volunteer in Dairy Lane for one shift during the 2026 Wisconsin State Fair.
